  1. If that tree is the ensurai tree there can be lots of fish during a good season under it...that's where the deeper part of the river is too...haven't seen a slim long boat like this for a long time...Good craftsmanship....

  2. CY, this is definitely NOT ensurai, and just further down stream, the water is a bit shallow, that's why there is swift current. during low tide, long boats cannot get through this place. you have been there, I believe. any idea "Nanga Entabai"?

    by the way, it is very near to Nanga Meluan, where there is a "Brooke Fort" or "Kubu Brooke"...and the surrounding of the fort is under beautification program, turning it into a mini park.
