this is their transport

談發展,實在差太遠了. there are people who are still very far away from so called "development". they don't even have roads to their kampongs. the only way for them to move around, is by long boats. talking about eradicating poverty? please build road to their kampongs. why development is so difficult to reach them? while we can spent millions and millions just to make our "face" looks nice, and not able to build just a road for them?

  1. I like to high light this too. Poverty in Malaysia is still quite high but the governnment is not helping them enough. After around 50 years of independence, kapit town is still not connected to pan borneo highway. what to say other longhouses in the interior part of sarawak? the students have to travel by long boats to school everyday risking their lifes and wasting a lot of precious time for them to sleep or study. While they can build a wasteful city of Putra Jaya, they can't build roads to even Song. There are still rock roads in sarikei like kim san and sare areas. imagine a road accident victim having head injuries in Kapit, they can't go to sibu hospital easily and they have to travel 3 hrs down the river to sibu just to get their head scan by CT scan machine. X-ray can't see the brain except the skull. I wonder what are their MPs doing. are they blind? they don't care about the wellbeing of their people in their constituencies. I THINK we SHOULD HIGHLIGHT the PLIGHTS of the POOR and REMOTE of SARAWAK. Snap photos of the undeveloped areas, squatters, dodgy houses, lousy roads and put them in blogs so that more people will know and will complaint to the government to do something to improve their livelihood. It is very saddening to see those folks in Matu and Daro that have to travel so far and so hard to sibu. Why they can't build a <100km road to matu-daro from sibu? they can build new highways in west malaysia but not in sarawak? the only highway project in sarawak is the sibu-tj manis one spanning less than 100km and only single carriage-way.

  5. The next time I read a blog, I hope that it does not disappoint me as much as this particular one.
I mean, I know it was my choice to read through, however I really believed you would probably have something
useful to say. All I hear is a bunch of complaining about something you could fix if you weren't too busy searching for attention.

  8. I have been surfing online more than 2 hours today, yet I never found any interesting article like yours.
It's pretty worth enough for me. In my opinion, if all website owners and bloggers made good content as you did, the web will be much more useful than ever before.
