新珠山，衛理福善社大廈角頭商店失火 corner lot of Methodist Philantropic Building, Sungai Merah, on fire
This is so sad!! When I was about 7 and visiting my grandfather I would always visit another grand uncle who operated a back shop of this lot...Tiong Kiu Dieh. He was a great person - humble and gentle as the best kind of Foochow pioneers around. His children are Tiong Buong King to name one...50 years for gone by since..and this new building is also more than 15 years old I remember. What a pity. Hope damages are not great!! Thanks for sharing.
